About Serpentine Gallery

The Serpentine Gallery, which Diana, Princess of Wales was the former Patron of, is deemed to be the most adored gallery in London! It mainly is due to its exquisite and breath taking art that falls into the category of contemporary art. It is also said that a staggering number of visitors amounting to approximately 800,000 is attracted to this gallery every year!

The Gallery holds a permanent art work by Ian Hamilton Finlay, the famous poet and artist, dedicated to Diana, the Princess of Wales. The work includes a carved stone circle at the entrance of the Gallery, eight benches and a tree plaque.

Although the gallery is closed between exhibitions, during the times of exhibitions, they are open daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. The Gallery is also closed from 24th to 26th December and 31st December to 1st of January for its annual holidays. Admission to all exhibitions is free of charge. The Gallery is fully accessible to all persons with disabilities, along with the necessary facilities to make the visit quite an enjoyable one to all the visitors.
