*At 135 metres, the British Airways London Eye is the world's tallest observation wheel, with 40 kilometre panoramic views on clear day. The gradual flight takes approximately 30 minutes and offers spectacular views of London and its famous landmarks such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and St Paul's Cathedral.

For a different perspective visit at sunset and see the city lights come on and the skyline awash with vibrant colours.

Her view of famous London landmarks is obscured by people and traffic, but a seagull draws her attention to The Eye and her father takes her for a flight; finally she has an amazing view of the city. Colourful parties inside the capsule, time lapse of The Eye day and night and a spectacular firework display all add up to an emotional and entertaining experience; the perfect prelude to a flight on The Eye itself.

*The 40-minute circular sightseeing cruise includes a host (all trained actors!) who gives a fascinating live commentary with facts about all the sites you see. Please be aware that all guests are subject to a security search when boarding the London Eye. Please note that the following items CAN be taken on board the London Eye:

· small day size rucksacks and bags (maximum size 18" x 13" x 8" or 46cm x 33cm x 20cm)
· baby bags

The following items CAN NOT be taken on board the London Eye;
· large bags/suitcases or rucksacks
· motorcycle helmets
· skateboards and rollerblades
. tripods (unless agreed in advance with the London Eye)
· baby buggies*
· prohibited items**

If you are unsure .
* Baby buggies can be left at our 'Buggy' area facility in the ticket hall, although only for the duration of the flight.
** Prohibited items include sharp objects or anything which may be considered a security risk including penknives, scissors, metal nail files, toy or replica guns. If such objects are found or declared they will be checked in and returned to you after your flight providing the item is legal in the UK.

Westminster Station, 10 mins (exit one).

Disabled Access
The London Eye has full disabled access both on to the Eye and to use all the facilities inside County Hall, which incorporates the ticket hall, disabled toilet facilities and Costa Coffee. The London Eye River Cruise Experience also has full disabled access.

Guests with a visual impairment
Seeing-eye dogs are welcome on the London Eye.

Wheelchair users
The wheel itself will be stopped or slowed to allow the safe embarkation and disembarkation of wheelchair users and guests with walking difficulties. Please notify a member of staff if you require this service.

Members of staff will always be on hand to assist guests (if required), however due to the potential risks, the staff are unable to physically lift guests into and out of capsules. If you are likely to require assistance to board the capsule, you are advised to bring a carer with you (their ticket is free).

Due to safety restrictions, only two wheelchairs per capsule and up to eight wheelchairs are allowed on the London Eye at the same time. Wheelchair spaces can be pre-booked in advance. Due to the popularity of this attraction, wheelchair users are strongly advised to pre-book to avoid disappointment.

Wheelchair loan service
The London Eye has a limited number of wheelchairs available for loan at the customer service desk inside the ticket office in County Hall. Please note that this service is provided on a 'first come first served' basis, is subject to availability and requires a deposit using a credit card. It cannot be pre-booked. These wheelchairs are for use solely at the London Eye for the duration of the flight and cannot be taken off site.

Gift Shop
A good way to spend time before or after your flight is a visit to the London Eye gift shop, just opposite Café Manga on the landscape or outside. The shop contains many essential items for your flight such as Fuji film, batteries, cameras, confectionery and Coca-Cola drinks, as well as souvenirs and gifts such as watches, sunglasses, pens, pencils, fridge magnets, panoramic posters and London Eye inspired jewellery.
