Museum of London is one of the world’s largest urban history museums and cares for over two million objects in its collection. The Museum also holds the largest archaeological archive in Europe of this wealth of information.

Ever imagined you walking the streets of Victorian London?? Or taking a stroll in the18th century pleasure gardens?? You can do just that and also marvel at the Lord Mayor's Coach in its new illuminated showcase when the new £20 million Galleries of Modern London open in May 2010, telling the story of London and its people from 1666 to the present day.

You can also discover prehistoric, Roman, medieval, Tudor and Stuart London, explore the Great Fire of 1666 and enjoy a full programme of events and exhibitions for all ages.

With two venues, Museum of London is one of the world’s largest urban history museums, dedicated to recording and preserving the legacy of the capital from 450,000BC to the present day.

Extensive collections reveal the changing nature of London’s history, which makes the Museum the perfect place to start your visit to London. Museum of London operates two museums – one in the City just by St Paul’s Cathedral and another in Docklands, near the modern business district of Canary Wharf. Together they offer a detailed record of London’s history that cannot be found anywhere else in the city.

The museum is open every day from 10am to 6pm, except 24th-26th December. And Entry is totally free.
